About us
We’re Kate (a Brit) and Andrew (a Kiwi), and we moved from the UK to Central Otago in 2023.
Why Central? Because it’s beautiful, peaceful and full of fun things to do.
But it was the house that guided our ultimate choice of location, because we knew we wanted to welcome visitors to enjoy this part of the world with us too, and show them the very best bits of it!
How did we get here?
While Andrew was finding his feet in the UK, he met Kate who was running a restaurant in Oxford.
An early trip to New Zealand solidified an idea of hosting guests and guided experiences for other visitors to the captivating land of the long white cloud.
Kate got sidetracked by a career in travel PR and punditry while Andrew got scooped up by the corporate world, until one day enough was enough and ‘home’ called.
Our lodge vision
Luxurious home comforts, friendly hospitality and first hand concierge experience are what we offer to our guests.
As part of our family home, our suites are designed to enable you to retreat to your own oasis with the freedom to join us for breakfast, become an add-on for dinner, or pick our brains on which winery to head to next.

There really is so much to do here and it shouldn’t be such a secret!
